How to Prepare a PPE Requirement for a Factory

Start with the task and the hazard rather than a generic PPE list. A fabrication area, a food-processing line and an electronics assembly zone may all require gloves, but the material, dexterity, hygiene and static-control needs are different.

A clear bulk enquiry should state the application, number of users, expected quantity, required sizes, shift pattern and delivery location. Add any internal approval requirement or product specification available from the site safety team.

PPE is only one part of workplace control. Confirm that the selected product suits the work practice and that the workforce receives the correct instructions for fit, inspection, replacement and storage.
